===== UWA =====

UWA is a simple widget format based on web standards such as [[HTML]], [[cascading_style_sheets|CSS]], [[XML]] and [[Javascript]]. It was originally developed by Netvibes, the personalized page pioneer.

Netvibes released some useful components as open source on [[http://netvibes.org/|netvibes.org]]:

  * UWA Javascript Runtime: to run UWA widgets
  * PHP Exposition libraries: to parse and compile UWA widgets
  * Exposition widget server: to serve widgets to end users

To date, we released one UWA related project:

  * [[wordpress/plugins/uwa|UWA Widgets Wordpress plugin]]: let users add UWA widgets on their Wordpress dashboard
